1.最高階後面的三種句型
最高階常常需要說明在什麼範圍裡最……。常見的說法有三種：

快速判斷：地點或群體（class、team、company、family）→ in；數量、複數名詞或一段時間 → of。
2.In 還是 of？
1. in + 地點或群體
Ha Long Bay is one of the most beautiful places in the world.
下龍灣是世界上最美的地方之一。
Phong is the funniest person in our class.
阿峰是我們班上最風趣的人。
Grandma makes the best spring rolls in town.
奶奶做的春捲是城裡最好吃的。
2. of + 數量、複數名詞、一段時間
Lan is the youngest of the four children.
阿蘭是四個孩子中最小的。
This shop is the cheapest of all.
這家店是所有店裡最便宜的。
It was the happiest day of my life.
那是我一生中最幸福的一天。
Tet is the busiest time of the year.
春節是一年中最忙的時候。
3.和 ever 連用
要說“我……過的最……的”，用 最高階 + 名詞 + (that) + 主語 + have/has ever + 過去分詞。用現在完成時，是因為它涵蓋了到現在為止的經歷。that 通常省略。
This is the best pizza I've ever eaten.
這是我吃過最好吃的比薩。
That was the worst film I have ever seen.
那是我看過最爛的電影。
Who's the most famous person you've ever met?
你見過的最有名的人是誰？
講過去的故事時（到過去某一時刻為止），用 had ever + 過去分詞。Ever 也可以直接放在名詞後面：the best day ever。
It was the worst storm the town had ever seen.
那是這個小鎮有史以來遇到的最強的風暴。
Today was the best day ever!
今天是有史以來最棒的一天！
帶 “never” 的句子可以改成最高階：I've never seen such a big fish. = It's the biggest fish I've ever seen。和最高階連用時用 ever，不用 never。
口語中，尤其是美式英語，有時會聽到 the best movie I ever saw（一般過去時）。學習和寫作時，穩妥的說法仍然是 I've ever seen。
4.強調：by far、one of the
在 the + 最高階 前面加 By far，強調“第一，而且遠遠領先”。One of the + 最高階 + 複數名詞 語氣較弱——並不說自己是第一。
This is by far the best phone I've ever had.
這絕對是我用過的最好的手機。
It's one of the oldest cities in Vietnam.
它是越南最古老的城市之一。
5.常見錯誤
He is the richest man of the world.He is the richest man in the world.
地點 → 用 in。
Phong is the funniest person of the class.Phong is the funniest person in the class.
群體（一個班）→ 用 in。
Lan is the youngest in the four children.Lan is the youngest of the four children.
數量 → 用 of。
It's the best film I ever seen.It's the best film I've ever seen.
需要 have + 過去分詞。
It was the better meal I've ever had.It was the best meal I've ever had.
ever 和最高階連用。
This is the biggest fish I've never seen.This is the biggest fish I've ever seen.
用 ever，不用 never。
