Which one are you?

A 2008 study published in the journal

Social Indicators Research found that morning larks are often happier and have higher life satisfaction compared to their night owl counterparts.

A large contributing factor to
20
that is morning larks get better social support as they fit better into the majority of society

22
Night owls, on the other hand, often have a tougher time integrating into society,
23
partially because they may not have the best familial relationships as they miss out on family times with their sleeping schedules.
24
In the morning larks' workplace, they're able to be productive right from the get -go and operate easily in the standard nine to five hours,
25
and as such, morning larks tend to thrive in a corporate world.
26
Number two, who's smarter?
27
According to a study published in the journal

The study states, the results indicate that contrary to conventional folk wisdom, evening types are more likely to have higher intelligence scores.
31
Night owls were also found to have better processing speed and better memory retention than morning larks.
32
In a separate study at University of Lege in Belgium, they found that both morning larks and night owls are productive after waking up naturally,
33
but morning larks' productivity falls off after 10 .5 hours of

Take everything with a grain of salt.

49
And most of us are not just a morning lark or night owl, but a mix of both.
50
What's most important, regardless of your sleep schedule, is that you have a good cycle of light and deep sleep,
51
and you can wake up refreshed and feeling your best.
52
Do you feel you're a mix of the two?
53
Or are you simply a night owl or a napper, a woodcock sleeper?
