Lección 22 · Etapa 2: Palabras de uso diario: pronombres, artículos, preposiciones
Preposiciones de tiempo: at / on / in
PrincipiantePrepositions of time: at / on / in
Forma y uso
at 7 o'clock, on Monday, in the morning / in 2020 — qué palabra va con cada momento
1.At, on, in: ¿cuál y cuándo?
|---|---|---|
| at | horas, momentos exactos | at 7 o'clock, at 6:30, at noon, at midnight, at lunchtime, at sunset |
| on | días, fechas, días especiales | on Monday, on 2 September, on my birthday, on New Year's Day |
| in | partes del día, meses, estaciones, años, décadas, siglos | in the morning, in July, in (the) summer, in 2020, in the 1990s, in the 21st century |

- in the morning / in the afternoon / in the evening, pero at night.
- at the weekend (inglés británico) = on the weekend (inglés americano).
- at Christmas, at Easter, at Tet (todo el periodo de fiestas), pero on Christmas Day, on New Year's Eve (un día concreto).
- at the moment (= ahora), at the same time (= a la vez, al mismo tiempo).
- at the beginning of / at the end of the month; mira también la lección “On time / in time, at the end / in the end”.
- Fechas: el inglés británico escribe on 5 July, el americano on July 5; al hablar se dice on the fifth of July u on July fifth.

En el habla informal, sobre todo en inglés americano, a menudo se omite on delante de los días: See you Friday. = See you on Friday.

(no: after five minutes)
