הדובר משתמש ב-20 קיצורים וצורות מקוצרות, כמו we're, I'll, you're.

  • /w/ — שפתיים מעוגלות, לא /v/: quiz /kwɪz/, waitress /ˈweɪ.tɹɪs/, waiter /ˈweɪ̯təː/
  • /æ/ — פתוח יותר מה-“אֶ” העברית, לא כמו “a” ב-“cup”: appetizer /ˈæpɪˌtaɪzə/, smash /smæʃ/, salad /ˈsæl.əd/, practically /ˈpɹæk.tɪ.k(ə.)li/
  • /r/ — הלשון לא נוגעת בשום מקום, לא ה-“ר” הגרונית: entrée /ˈɒntɹeɪ/, subscribe /səbˈskɹaɪb/, waitress /ˈweɪ.tɹɪs/, fry /fɹaɪ/, preference /ˈpɹɛf(ə)ɹ(ə)ns/
