조동사 + have + V3
고급Modal perfect
must / might / should + have + V3 — 과거 일에 대한 추측이나 판단
|---|---|---|
| 긍정문 | 조동사 + have + V3 | She must have left. |
| 부정문 | 조동사 + not + have + V3 | He can't have seen it. |
| Could they have taken the wrong road? |
| 수동태 | 조동사 + have been + V3 | The letter might have been lost. |
| 진행형 | 조동사 + have been + V-ing | He must have been sleeping. |
말할 때 have는 거의 사라집니다: must've /ˈmʌstəv/, should've, could've, might've — “must of”처럼 들립니다. 쓸 때는 항상 have라고 쓰고, have 뒤에는 과거형(went, saw)이 아니라 과거분사(gone, seen)를 쓰세요.
|---|---|---|
| 일어났다고 거의 확신 | must have + V3 | The lights are off. They must have gone to bed. |
| 가능하지만 확실하지 않음 | might / may / could have + V3 | He might have missed the bus. |
| 일어나지 않았을 수도 있음 | might not / may not have + V3 | She may not have heard you. |
| 일어나지 않았다고 거의 확신 | can't / couldn't have + V3 | You can't have finished already! |
Nobody's answering. They must have gone out.
I may have left my wallet in the taxi.

She couldn't have known about the party. We kept it secret.
추측하는 must have의 부정은 보통 can't have / couldn't have입니다. (He must not have seen me), 줄임형 mustn't have는 드뭅니다. 그리고 couldn't have(불가능)는 might not have(아마 아닐지도)보다 훨씬 강한 표현입니다.
「추측: must / can't」 레슨을 참고하세요.
|---|---|---|
She must be at home. | She must have been at home. |
That can't be true. | That can't have been true. |
He might be busy. | He might have been busy. |
You should rest. | You should have rested. |
4.Should have: 했어야 했던 일
should have + V3 = 그렇게 하는 게 옳았다(하지만 하지 않았다), shouldn't have + V3 = 그건 잘못이었다(하지만 해 버렸다).
We should have booked a table — the place is full.
You shouldn't have said that to her.

The parcel should have arrived by now.
5.Could have, would have, needn't have
(You could have told me!).
