this 68 year old man is super interesting he has more
2
than 1 million cigarettes in his basement he learned how to
3
read at age 45 he was lost in the seed for
4
two months he went to jail he was an alcoholic
5
and now he's picking up cigarette butts on the streets of
6
his island why well let me introduce you to the most interesting guy I met in my travels.
7
In the remote Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, I found Migicho.
8
Hola, mi nombre es Migicho y no debo estar vivo.
9
Migicho lost his mom to an earthquake three days after he was born.
10
And because his father was so poor, he never went to school.
11
But then a rich man promised his dad to school him in the Galapagos Islands you know the islands
12
that are surrounded by nothing only to abandon him on a boat in the middle of the ocean.
13
To survive Migicho decided to become a fisherman and he started to believe in life but life was not done with him.
14
At 35 while he was on his boat his engine died
15
and he was left alone to survive in the middle of
16
the ocean for 77 days then once he got rescued back to ecuador he was sent to jail
17
because he couldn't pay back his debts and when he was released he got depressed and became an alcoholic for 12 years
18
many people would just give up on life at this point
19
but that's not what megichu did he turned his life around
20
like magic at age 52 he learned how to read by himself
21
so he could train his mind he started eating healthy he
22
learned how to jog how to bike how to lift so he could train his body
23
He became so strong that he ran a marathon at age 68.
24
I can run 20 kilometers.
25
That's crazy!
26
And he didn't stop there.
27
Migichu fell in love with nature and wanted to clean his island.
28
So he started collecting cigarette butts on the streets every day.
29
After 5 years, he collected 1 million cigarette butts and he turned them into works of art that look like this.
30
These sculptures made him famous on his tiny island and around the world,
31
and thousands of tourists like me are inspired by what this guy has become.
32
At age 52, this guy started living.
33
It goes to show it's never too late to turn your life around and inspire the world.
34
Megichu started at age 52, but maybe you can start right now.
35
Before we continue, I need to show you something cool from the sponsor of this video, Gentspark.
36
Everyone now is telling me to use AI, AI, AI.
37
And I do use AI, but there are so many different tools and getting them to work together is just exhausting.
38
But then a friend from Silicon Valley showed me this AI agent, Gentspark.
39
It's an all -in -one AI workspace.
40
Let's say I'm launching a new service.
41
First, I use Second Brain plus Super Agent.
42
I ask, look through my recent emails, meetings, and Slack messages, identify the clients most likely to need this new service explain why
43
and create a simple outreach plan
44
now i know who to talk to and what to show
45
so i go straight to genmail and use email skills
46
because it can do cold outreach research bulk replies
47
and batch handle my inbox and now i need something to send with the email
48
so i go to design to create a launch kit for
49
this new service i give it my brand assets a reference image
50
and it can create a ui prototype a poster an html animation
51
and even a product demo video research becomes outreach outreach becomes a pitch
52
and it all happened in one workspace so
53
if you want to try it yourself use the genspark link in the description below
54
when you register through the link you also get free credits
55
to try it out let me know in the comments if you need the prompt and setup guide.
56
Okay, now back to the video.
57
this chef has not eaten in eight years every day she cooks food
58
but she does not eat it
59
because this is her food who is she why doesn't she eat
60
and how can she survive without eating meet loretta hi nasdaily
61
i'm loretta aka the normal foodie loretta grew up in england
62
and she had a pretty normal childhood sometimes she had stomach problems
63
but she still ate food like most people in fact she loved food
64
so much she even became a chef until one day
65
when this happened and then
66
when i was 18 i woke up in unbelievable pain every
67
time i ate it took doctors years to figure out what
68
was wrong with her they kept telling her to change her diet
69
so she ate this and ate that but nothing worked it was a mystery
70
and she was suffering and then her life changed forever i found out in 2015
71
that i was unable to eat like a normal person she has ehlers -danlos a rare syndrome
72
that causes gastroparesis and basically it means she has a paralyzed stomach
73
see when we eat food our body activates the stomach to digest it
74
but for loretta it doesn't do that it does not activate
75
and the food does not digest this is very painful
76
and it means i cannot eat
77
or drink anything no food no drink not even water how does she survive without food and in water.
78
Instead of eating food, I use this bag.
79
This tube goes into my heart and then nutrients are fed into my bloodstream.
80
She uses this bag for 18 hours a day, every single day.
81
It's filled with a liquid that gives her everything she needs every day,
82
like proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes.
83
This bag saves Loretta's life, but it also means, technically, Unfortunately, she never has to cook ever again.
84
She could quit being a chef, but cooking is her passion and she didn't want to stop.
85
Just because I can't eat doesn't mean I can't cook.
86
So she just kept cooking.
87
Now, I know what you're thinking.
88
How does she cook if she can't taste the food?
89
Well, turns out she cooks with her nose.
90
the way I cook now is by utilizing my knowledge skills and intuition
91
and definitely smell to be able to still create delicious recipes
92
at the end of cooking I always get family friends to
93
taste the foods to make sure the balance of flavors are right and it's ready to eat
94
has a positive attitude about recognition
95
but still her life is not easy at this time there
96
is no cure sometimes she even has to use a wheelchair
97
and she gets many infections from changing her tooth
98
but she is determined not to give up and to keep sharing her story remember
99
your current situation isn't your final destination we should never let
100
obstacles get in the way of our passions thank you loretta for sharing your story
101
and to everyone watching share this video with someone who needs
102
a reminder to never give up the guy you see next

And if they force him to wear shoes, he wears this.
109
They look like shoes, but I'm still barefoot.
110
Oh, and his kid doesn't wear shoes either.
111
So why does he do this?
112
10 years ago, Gobind heard about a movement called Soul Men.
113
The idea?
114
Go barefoot to raise money for underprivileged kids in Indonesia.
115
So he wanted to support them and decided to never wear shoes again until there are no more underprivileged kids in Indonesia.
116
So far, the movement raised $1 million in donations.
117
You look at him and you think he's just a hippie.
