A lot of people today, especially the age of my women, face success and failure in their career.

And I've seen some people who tell themselves it was just a fluke when things go well.

But when things go badly, they easily blame themselves.

That's what I do sometimes too.

Then how can we learn to be kinder to ourselves?

I actually have advice for this.

This is something I learned from a doctor.

Because I was having a hard time figuring out how to speak kindly to myself.

And he asked me to take my favorite picture of myself from when I was a little girl.

And he said, okay, put the photo face down, say everything that you feel about yourself.

And I said it.

He said, okay, now pick up the photo and say the exact same thing to her.

Couldn't do it.

Oh, wow.

I just couldn't do it.

She didn't deserve it.

And so I have an inner child, so why would I speak like that to myself?

I would never speak that way to a child, ever, ever, ever, ever.

That was kind of the beginning of me learning that we all deserve to speak kindly to each other, including ourselves phototherapy.
