1. Good morning everyone and welcome.
2
My name is Giles Watson and it's great that so many people have signed up for training.
3
I look forward to spending the next few days with you.
4
The overall theme of our session this morning is customer satisfaction.
5
How to make sure our customers are happy and keep on coming back to us.
6
2. Now that we've covered the basics, it's time to turn to probably the most important aspect of keeping our customers satisfied,
7
making them feel valued.
8
Customers should never feel as if they are just another person to approach your business,
9
and they should definitely not be the ones trying hardest to get what they want.
10
Getting them what they want is your role.
11
3. According to some research we've done,
12
one of the main reasons that customers feel unhappy and take their business elsewhere is because of rude or uninterested staff.
13
In tomorrow's session, I'd like to give you some tips for how to encourage your staff to always be as professional and enthusiastic as possible.
14
4. Customers appreciate personal service where possible.
15
They don't like being treated like just one of many hundreds of other customers.
16
Yet this is perhaps the main challenge of customer satisfaction, making sure each customer gets some kind of individual attention.
17
5. The final, crucial thing I would like to remind you of is that the customer is always right.
18
Now, of course, you might not really think this is true, but you must act as if it is.
19
Needless to say, there have been many occasions when I've had to deal with a difficult customer, rude, problematic, and not especially easy to communicate with.
20
But I have always had to behave professionally and put them and their needs before my own.
21
Thank you.
22
Thank you.
