Turning to Vietnam -U .S relations, he outlined five priorities going forward, maintaining political trust and high -level dialogue,

deepening economic, trade and investment ties, making science, technology and innovation a new driver of cooperation,

continuing reconciliation and efforts to address war legacies, and strengthening coordination on regional and global issues.

Vietnam -U .S economic ties need to grow in a balanced, sustainable and mutually beneficial way.

Vietnam is ready to address U .S trade concerns constructively, all working for a stable and deeper cooperation in technology and global value chains.

During a question -and -answer session, Vietnam's top leader also highlighted cooperation on war legacy issues,

including Vietnam's 500 -day campaign and the use of advanced DNA technology to help establish the identities of soldiers still unaccounted for.
