Lektion 30 · Etappe 3: Pläne, Bitten & Vergleiche
„Would like“ für höfliche Wünsche
Anfänger“Would like” for polite wishes
Form & Gebrauch
would like / 'd like + to Verb — höflich sagen, was man möchte
1.Form
would like (Kurzform 'd like) bedeutet „möchten“ — höflicher als want. Would ist für jedes Subjekt gleich: I'd like, she'd like, they'd like.
| Muster | Beispiel |
|---|---|
| would like + Nomen | I'd like a glass of water, please. |
| would like + to-Infinitiv | I'd like to change my seat. |
| would like + Person + to-Infinitiv | I'd like you to meet my sister. |
| Verneint | I wouldn't like to live in a big city. |
| Frage | Would you like some tea? · What would you like to do? |
Ein kleines 'd ändert die Bedeutung: I like coffee = ich mag Kaffee (allgemein); I'd like a coffee = ich möchte einen Kaffee (jetzt). Vergisst du das 'd beim Bestellen, erzählst du nur, was du gern magst.
2.Wann du es benutzt
1. Bestellen, Einkaufen und um eine Dienstleistung bitten
I'd like the chicken curry, please.
Ich hätte gern das Hähnchen-Curry, bitte.
Hi, I'd like to return these shoes. They're too small.
Hallo, ich möchte diese Schuhe zurückgeben. Sie sind zu klein.
2. Wünsche und Träume
One day I'd like to have my own café.
Where would you like to live when you retire?
Wo möchtest du leben, wenn du in Rente bist?
3. Angebote und Einladungen: Would you like…?
Would you like some more rice?
Möchtest du noch etwas Reis?
Would you like to join us for dinner on Friday?
4. Wollen, dass jemand anderes etwas tut: would like + Person + to-Infinitiv
My mum would like you to call her when you land.
I'd like you to check this email before I send it.
Viele Lernende sagen beim Bestellen oder Bitten I want… — wie „Ich will…“. Das ist grammatisch richtig, kann aber gegenüber Personal, Kunden oder Älteren schroff klingen. Mit I'd like… („Ich hätte gern…“) bist du sofort höflich.
3.Would like oder like?
| like | would like | |

Ich bleibe heute Abend lieber zu Hause. Ich bin total erschöpft.
