This / that / these / those, one / ones
this book, those shoes, the blue one — 名詞を繰り返さずに近く・遠くのものを指す
1.This / that / these / those
| 複数 | these | those |
名詞の前に置くことも(this bag)、単独で使うこともできます(This is heavy)。
This bag is really heavy.
Look at those clouds! It's going to rain.
These are my parents.
Is that your car over there?
that /ðæt/ と those /ðəʊz/ も同じです。
Mum, this is my friend Hoa.
Hello, this is Minh from the dental clinic.
2. 時:現在や近い未来には this(this morning, this week)、過去のある時には that(that day, at that time)
I'm really busy this week.
I still remember that day.
Let's order pizza. — That's a great idea!
Thanks for the lift. That was really kind of you.
3.one / ones —
I don't like the red shirt. I prefer the blue one.
These shoes are too small. Do you have any bigger ones?
Which one do you want? — That one, please.
My phone is really old. I need a new one.
- 形容詞は単独で名詞の代わりにはなりません:a new one(a new ではない)、the big ones。
- this one / that one
I prefer brown rice to white(white one ではない)。
4.one か it か
a new one / one = 同じ種類のどれでもいい1つ。
I lost my umbrella, so I bought a new one.
I lost my umbrella, but I found it the next day.
I need a pen. Have you got one?
I love this flowers.I love these flowers.
Look at that birds!Look at those birds!
My bike is broken, so I need a new.My bike is broken, so I need a new one.
She is my friend Hoa.This is my friend Hoa.
I lost my keys and I can't find ones.I lost my keys and I can't find them.
同じ鍵 → them。
These are cheaper than that ones. These are cheaper than those (ones).
複数 → those。
