Les 83 · Etappe 7: Zelfstandige naamwoorden, lidwoorden & determinatoren
Zelfstandig naamwoord + zelfstandig naamwoord
GemiddeldNoun + noun
Vorm & gebruik
a bus driver, a ten-minute walk, a coffee cup — het ene woord beschrijft het andere
1.Vorm
|---|---|---|
| bus | driver | a bus driver |
| phone | number | a phone number |
| city | centre | the city centre |
| apple | juice | apple juice |
| traffic | lights | traffic lights |
| birthday | party | a birthday party |
My uncle is a taxi driver.
Mijn oom is taxichauffeur.
Can I have your phone number?
Mag ik je telefoonnummer?
Turn left at the traffic lights.
There's a new shoe shop near my house.
I need a new toothbrush.
Ik heb een nieuwe tandenborstel nodig.
Where's the ticket office?
Waar is het loket?
- Uitzondering: woorden die altijd op -s eindigen, houden die: a clothes shop, a sports car, a savings account
3.Getal + zelfstandig naamwoord: a ten-minute walk
|---|---|
| The walk takes ten minutes. | It's a ten-minute walk. |
| The meeting lasted two hours. | We had a two-hour meeting. |
| My son is five years old. | I have a five-year-old son. |
| The trip is three days long. | It's a three-day trip. |

She found a 50,000-dong note in her pocket.
4.a coffee cup of a cup of coffee?
| Zelfst. nw. + zelfst. nw.: het voorwerp | a … of …: wat erin zit |
|---|---|
| a coffee cup | a cup of coffee |
| a water bottle | a bottle of water |
| a wine glass | a glass of wine |
| a matchbox | a box of matches |
