My name is Arti Luca and I'm a news editor.

My job involves news gathering for a major news organization in Britain.

I'm in charge of our daily news gathering operations.

I'm responsible for how we deploy our reporters, our producers, our cameras and our satellite trucks.

When Artie decides to follow a particular news story, she gives a reporter the task of covering it.

The reporter is then in charge of the team that produces a report on that story.

Hello, I'm Nick Thatcher.

I'm one of the general news reporters here and I work to the main bulletins that go out throughout the day.

It's all about teamwork.

If you're working with a camera operator, then together you're making sure you're getting the right pictures on the ground.

Back at base, you're being supported and ensuring that if you need pictures from the library, from file if you like, then those are available to you in good time as well.

He is responsible for making sure the bulletins run to plan.

So my role as program director is to lead the production team

and to be responsible for the technical and creative execution of the program.

Teamwork is absolutely crucial in the build -up and during the program.

There's no real one role who can do it by themselves, so we are very tightly coordinated.

And my role as a director is really to be the conductor of that orchestra.

In a large organization like this, there are a number of departments working behind the scenes to ensure the company runs well.

Managing the staff is a key function.

I'm Melanie Tamsey and I'm the director of human resources.

So I'm responsible for the running of the human resources team, making sure that we are delivering on all our strategic and operational priorities for the company.

The finance department is another important part of the organization.

Hi Danny, it's Ray from finance.

I'm Ray Snellen and I'm the finance supervisor.

I look after all the billing for our customers

and also collection of debts and maintaining customer queries and making sure that our customers are happy.

It's important that we make sure that the payments are coming in on time

and it can impact on payments that we make into our suppliers.

So if we've got a lot of costs that we're incurring for a specific project, we need to make sure that we're getting the cash in to support that.

So it can affect us quite a lot.

These are just some examples of the roles in some of the departments in the company.

There are many more, such as marketing and IT support, all working together to ensure the organization runs smoothly and successfully.
