รูปแบบและการใช้
went, saw, took… — การกระทำที่จบไปแล้วในอดีต ด้วยกริยาอปกติ
1.กริยาอปกติคืออะไร
กริยาที่ใช้บ่อยที่สุดหลายคำไม่เติม -ed แต่มีรูปอดีตเฉพาะของตัวเอง มักเรียกว่า V2 หรือกริยาช่อง 2 (คอลัมน์ที่สองในตารางกริยาอปกติ): go → went, see → saw, buy → bought รูป V2 ใช้เหมือนกันกับประธานทุกตัว
วิธีใช้เหมือนกริยาปกติทุกอย่าง: บอกการกระทำที่จบแล้วในเวลาหนึ่งในอดีต (ดูบทเรียน “Past simple: -ed, did / didn't”)

จุดสำคัญ: รูป V2 (went, saw, bought) ใช้เฉพาะในประโยคบอกเล่า เมื่อมี did / didn't แล้ว กริยาจะกลับเป็นรูปเดิม: I didn't go, Did you see…? — ไม่ใช่ “didn't went” หรือ “did you saw”
2.กริยาอปกติที่ใช้บ่อย
จำเป็นกลุ่มที่เปลี่ยนรูปแบบเดียวกันจะง่ายกว่า

ไม่ต้องพยายามท่องรายการกริยา 200 คำในครั้งเดียว กริยาราว 50 คำข้างบนครอบคลุมเกือบทุกอย่างที่พูดกันในแต่ละวัน ทุกเย็นลองเล่าเรื่องวันของคุณเป็นประโยคอดีต 5–6 ประโยค: I got up at six, I had noodles, I took the bus…
3.V2 หรือ V3? และคู่ที่สับสนง่าย

Past Simple ใช้เฉพาะคอลัมน์กลาง (V2): I saw her yesterday (ไม่ใช่: I seen her), We went home (ไม่ใช่: We gone home) คอลัมน์ V3 ใช้หลัง have / has / had และในประโยค passive — ดูบทเรียน “Present perfect”
I bought some mangoes at the market and brought them to the party.
ฉันซื้อมะม่วงที่ตลาดแล้วเอาไปงานปาร์ตี้ (buy → bought; bring → brought)
We won the game — we beat the best team in the league.
เราชนะการแข่งขัน — เอาชนะทีมที่เก่งที่สุดในลีกได้ (win + การแข่งขันหรือรางวัล; beat + คู่แข่ง)
I felt dizzy and nearly fell over.
ฉันรู้สึกเวียนหัวและเกือบล้ม (feel → felt; fall → fell)
I read that book last summer.
ฉันอ่านหนังสือเล่มนั้นเมื่อหน้าร้อนปีที่แล้ว (read รูปอดีตสะกดเหมือนเดิม แต่ออกเสียง /red/)
4.ประโยคคำถามและปฏิเสธ
เหมือนกริยาอื่นทุกตัวใน Past Simple: did / didn't + กริยารูปเดิม เมื่อมี did แล้ว รูปอปกติก็หายไป
I didn't sleep well last night.
เมื่อคืนฉันนอนไม่ค่อยหลับ (ไม่ใช่: didn't slept)
Did you take your medicine?
กินยาแล้วหรือยัง
What did she say?
เธอพูดว่าอะไร
How did you find out?
คุณรู้มาได้อย่างไร
ข้อยกเว้น: เมื่อ who / what เป็นประธาน (คนหรือสิ่งที่ทำการกระทำ) จะไม่มี did และกริยาอยู่ในรูป V2: Who told you? What happened? — ดูบทเรียน “คำถามถามประธานและถามกรรม”
5.ข้อผิดพลาดที่พบบ่อย
