Hello you guys, welcome back to another video.
2
Today I'm filming from our kitchen slash living room area.
3
As you can see there is a couch and there's also a dining table and today we're making breakfast together.
4
I'm going to take you along with me
5
while I'm cooking a simple breakfast for myself and teach you some nice English vocabulary words.
6
Okay so first I'm going to show you around our kitchen area.
7
This here is the countertop.
8
It's pretty spacious I would say.
9
I use it for preparing meals and as you can see the ingredients for breakfast are ready.
10
And here we have our kettle our coffee maker this little shelf with some salt
11
and pepper and coffee olive oil and some other stuff in here
12
and paper towels of course
13
and this one is my little helper i absolutely love
14
it i use it all the time i even bake in this air fryer
15
because we do not have an oven in this apartment
16
and it wasn't an option to install one
17
so yeah i use it almost every day here
18
we have a stove top it's an electric stove i hope
19
you can see guys up here there is a ventilation hood and some cabinets.
20
That's pretty much it.
21
On to the breakfast.
22
Okay, it's actually lunchtime here, half past 12 and I normally do not have breakfast.
23
I skip breakfast on purpose just because I'm not hungry
24
and I also have a lot of things to do in the morning.
25
I have my classes, I do my workouts so it is technically lunchtime but I'm still having breakfast.
26
Today we're making an omelet and some salad.
27
Nothing fancy, nothing extraordinary but it is filling and nutritious.
28
Filling is food that makes you feel full,
29
you're not hungry after eating it and nutritious means that it has some good nutrients like I don't know fiber,
30
what else, what else, fiber,
31
protein, some other minerals, just all the good stuff that helps your body function properly.
32
We're going to start with the salad
33
and I'm going to move you a little closer to the countertop so you can see what I'm doing here.
34
Okay, that's good.
35
This is the salad that I eat almost, not almost, every single day.
36
Arugula salad.
37
And you guys have to know one thing about me.
38
I am a total freak when it comes to healthy eating, healthy food.
39
So if you tell me that something is good for me, good for my health, i'm gonna eat it even
40
if it tastes like plastic anyway fortunately arugula tastes pretty good
41
so i have my bowl here
42
and in this bowl as you can see there are some seeds pumpkin seeds sesame seeds both black
43
and white i usually pre -soak them for about an hour
44
or so and they're nice and soft already
45
so i'm putting the arugula into the ball okay you guys you have to cut me some slack i am
46
so sorry this is the first time i'm filming in the kitchen
47
so i haven't figured out um where to put my camera
48
and it's a disaster i apologize for that anyway here i have my cutting board,
49
half a tomato and some red onions.
50
I am eating alone today because my husband is at work.
51
That's why I don't need a lot of the ingredients.
52
Half a tomato will do.
53
So now I'm going to slice the tomato and chop the onions.
54
There you go.
55
So I'm slicing this tomato half and chop the onions.
56
Okay, now we're adding it into the bowl.
57
The salad is almost ready.
58
As you can see, it's very simple.
59
Not a lot of ingredients.
60
Thank you.
61
Now for the dressing.
62
What is dressing, you guys?
63
It is a special sauce we make for salads.
64
And I'm making the simplest dressing of all time.
65
Olive oil, mustard, lemon juice, and some salt and pepper.
66
That's it.
67
And yeah, I'm not mixing it in a separate bowl.
68
I'm just pouring everything directly into this bowl with the salad because why would I waste another dish, right?
69
Here goes some olive oil, lemon juice.
70
I'm sorry guys, it's not very aesthetic.
71
Mustard, salt, and pepper.
72
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that once the salad is ready,
73
the dressing and everything, I sprinkle it with some ground flaxseed.
74
This is my jar with flaxseed and I've noticed that it has significantly improved my digestion.
75
So not a single breakfast goes by without me having some flaxseed.
76
All right the salad is ready.
77
It looks delicious.
78
So I'm just gonna put it aside and we'll make the eggs.
79
Now for the eggs, I usually eat only one egg because every time I make two, it feels like a little too much for me.
80
So I'm just gonna crack one egg into the bowl.
81
There we go.
82
Then I'm adding a little bit of milk, not too much, just a splash.
83
as i said just a splash well normally i opt for coconut milk
84
because i just love how eggs and broccoli
85
and coconut milk taste together it's my go -to recipe
86
but unfortunately i went grocery shopping yesterday and they were out of coconut milk
87
so i'm using regular milk today now let's mix it all together.
88
I do have a whisk but I'm using a fork because it's perfectly fine too.
89
Also I don't particularly enjoy doing the dishes
90
and since we don't have a dishwasher in this apartment I don't want to waste extra utensils and then wash them.
91
Now I already boiled some broccoli.
92
Here's a little piece.
93
I'm just going to cut it and add it to our mixture.
94
Okay, the broccoli is in.
95
Oh, and I need to turn on the stove now.
96
Now let's pour this mixture into the pan.
97
pour in this mixture into the pan
98
and i put two cheese slices on top of the omelet cover it with the lid and wait
99
while we're waiting for the omelet i'm going to cut an avocado where's my knife
100
now it's pretty soft i just hope it's not overripe
101
ta -da perfection i'm using a spoon to scoop out the flesh of the avocado
102
oh there we go looking good
103
let's check on our omelet oh i think it's almost ready oh no i hope i didn't burn it
104
oh yes i burned the omelet a little bit
105
but you can't see it all you can see is
106
that it looks pretty doesn't it bread
107
i forgot about the bread one slice of bread voila the breakfast is ready as i mentioned it's not fancy
108
but i think it looks nice and quite appetizing so i'm just gonna make some coffee and that will be it.
109
Bon appetit to me!
110
Thank you guys so much for joining me for breakfast today.
111
