צורה ושימוש
the best … I've ever…, the biggest in the world, the most … of all — לתאר משהו שהוא הכי מכל האפשר.
1.שלושה דפוסים אחרי סופרלטיב (הכי...)
לעיתים קרובות יש צורך לציין הכי מה אחרי סופרלטיב. יש שלוש דרכים נפוצות לעשות זאת:

בדיקה מהירה: מקום או קבוצה (class, team, company, family) → in; מספר, שם עצם ברבים או תקופת זמן → of.
2.In או of?
1. in + מקום או קבוצה
Ha Long Bay is one of the most beautiful places in the world.
מפרץ הא לונג הוא אחד מהמקומות הכי יפים בעולם.
Phong is the funniest person in our class.
פונג הוא האדם הכי מצחיק בכיתה שלנו.
Grandma makes the best spring rolls in town.
סבתא מכינה את הספרינג רולס הכי טובים בעיר.
2. of + מספר, שם עצם ברבים, תקופת זמן
Lan is the youngest of the four children.
לאן היא הצעירה מבין ארבעת הילדים.
This shop is the cheapest of all.
החנות הזאת היא הזולה מכולן.
It was the happiest day of my life.
זה היה היום הכי שמח בחיי.
Tet is the busiest time of the year.
טט הוא הזמן הכי עמוס בשנה.
3.עם ever
כדי לומר “הכי ... שאי פעם ...”, השתמשו ב-superlative + noun + (that) + subject + have/has ever + past participle. משתמשים ב-הווה מושלם (present perfect) כי הוא מתייחס לכל הניסיון שלכם עד עכשיו. בדרך כלל משמיטים את that.
This is the best pizza I've ever eaten.
זו הפיצה הכי טובה שאכלתי אי פעם.
That was the worst film I have ever seen.
זה היה הסרט הכי גרוע שראיתי אי פעם.
Who's the most famous person you've ever met?
מי האדם הכי מפורסם שפגשתם אי פעם?
כשמספרים סיפור על העבר (עד נקודה מסוימת בעבר), השתמשו ב-had ever + past participle. אפשר גם לשים ever מיד אחרי שם העצם: the best day ever.
It was the worst storm the town had ever seen.
זו הייתה הסופה הכי גרועה שהעיר ראתה אי פעם.
Today was the best day ever!
היום היה היום הכי טוב אי פעם!
אפשר להפוך משפט עם “never” לסופרלטיב: אף פעם לא ראיתי דג כל כך גדול. = זה הדג הכי גדול שראיתי אי פעם. עם סופרלטיב, השתמשו ב-ever, לא never.
בדיבור, במיוחד באנגלית אמריקאית, לפעמים שומעים the best movie I ever saw (עבר פשוט). ללמידה ולכתיבה, הצורה הבטוחה היא עדיין I've ever seen.
4.הדגשה: by far, one of the
By far לפני the + סופרלטיב מדגיש “הכי, ואף אחד לא מתקרב”. One of the + סופרלטיב + שם עצם ברבים הוא רך יותר — לא טוען למקום ראשון.
This is by far the best phone I've ever had.
זה ללא ספק הטלפון הכי טוב שהיה לי אי פעם.
It's one of the oldest cities in Vietnam.
זו אחת הערים הכי עתיקות בווייטנאם.
5.טעויות נפוצות
He is the richest man of the world.He is the richest man in the world.
מקום → in.
Phong is the funniest person of the class.Phong is the funniest person in the class.
קבוצה (כיתה) → in.
Lan is the youngest in the four children.Lan is the youngest of the four children.
מספר → of.
It's the best film I ever seen.It's the best film I've ever seen.
יש צורך ב-have + past participle.
It was the better meal I've ever had.It was the best meal I've ever had.
Ever הולך עם סופרלטיב.
This is the biggest fish I've never seen.This is the biggest fish I've ever seen.
השתמשו ב-ever, לא never.
