「as … as」の比較
初級Comparing with “as … as”
|---|---|---|
| 同じくらい | as + 形容詞/副詞 + as | My brother is as tall as my dad now. |
| 〜ほどではない | not as + 形容詞/副詞 + as | Da Lat isn't as hot as Hanoi. |
| 疑問文 | Is … as + 形容詞 + as …? | Is Da Nang as expensive as Hanoi? |
| 名詞と使う | as much / as many + 名詞 + as | I don't have as much free time as you. |
as は2つ必要です:as tall as my dad。
Your English is as good as mine.
Hue is just as beautiful as Hoi An.
2. 〜ほどではない:not as … as — less … than より、やわらかく自然な言い方です。
This coffee isn't as strong as the one at home.
The test wasn't as difficult as I expected.
Thao sings as beautifully as her mother.
I can't run as fast as you.
4. as much / as many — 量を比べる:much + 数えられない名詞、many + 複数名詞
I don't earn as much as my brother.
There aren't as many rice fields as before.
5. as … as possible / as … as I can — できるかぎり〜
Please send me the report as soon as possible.
I ran as fast as I could.
|---|---|---|
| just | まったく同じ | The cheap phone is just as good as the expensive one. |
| nearly / almost | とても近いが、少し劣る | Mai is nearly as tall as Lan. |
| not quite | 少し劣る | The second film isn't quite as good as the first. |
| not nearly | ずっと劣る | The flight wasn't nearly as bumpy as I feared. |
| twice / three times / half | 2倍、3倍、半分 | Our new flat is twice as big as the old one. |
3倍以上なら three times bigger than / three times more expensive than とも言えます — これはとてもよく使われます。
The bus ticket costs half as much as the train ticket.
The new bridge is three times as wide as the old one.
4.the same as;as me か as I am か
Your phone is the same as mine.
Hoa was born in the same year as me.
2つ目の as のあとは than のあとと同じです:me, him, her(話し言葉)か、主語 + 助動詞(I am、she does)を使います。
He isn't as patient as me. = He isn't as patient as I am.
Today I'm not as busy as I was yesterday.
(as I'm yesterday とは言わない)
まったく同じものには the same as(My bag is the same as yours)、似ているものには like(She looks like her mum)を使います。
My room is as big than yours. My room is as big as yours.
as … as です。

This flat is as twice big as ours. This flat is twice as big as ours.
