Vergleichen mit „as … as“
AnfängerComparing with “as … as”
Form & Gebrauch
as + Adj + as — sagen, dass zwei Dinge gleich sind
1.Form
| Muster | Beispiel | |
|---|---|---|
| Gleich | as + adj/adv + as | My brother is as tall as my dad now. |
| Weniger | not as + adj/adv + as | Da Lat isn't as hot as Hanoi. |
| Frage | Is … as + adj + as …? | Is Da Nang as expensive as Hanoi? |
| Mit Nomen | as much / as many + Nomen + as | I don't have as much free time as you. |
Du brauchst zwei as: as tall as my dad — wie „so groß wie“. Das zweite Wort ist nicht than oder like.
2.Wann du es benutzt
1. Zwei Dinge sind gleich — mit just betonst du „genau gleich“
Your English is as good as mine.
Dein Englisch ist so gut wie meins.
Hue is just as beautiful as Hoi An.
Hue ist genauso schön wie Hoi An.
2. Weniger: not as … as — eine sanftere, natürlichere Art, less … than zu sagen. In Verneinungen siehst du manchmal not so … as, mit derselben Bedeutung.
This coffee isn't as strong as the one at home.
The test wasn't as difficult as I expected.
3. Mit Adverbien: vergleichen, wie Menschen etwas tun
Thao sings as beautifully as her mother.
Thao singt so schön wie ihre Mutter.
I can't run as fast as you.
4. as much / as many — Mengen vergleichen: much + unzählbares Nomen, many + Nomen im Plural
I don't earn as much as my brother.
There aren't as many rice fields as before.
5. as … as possible / as … as I can — so sehr wie möglich
Please send me the report as soon as possible.
I ran as fast as I could.
3.Wie nah dran? just, nearly, twice…
| Wort vor as | Bedeutung | Beispiel |
|---|---|---|
| just | genau gleich | The cheap phone is just as good as the expensive one. |
| nearly / almost | sehr nah dran, aber ein bisschen weniger | Mai is nearly as tall as Lan. |
| not quite | ein bisschen weniger | The second film isn't quite as good as the first. |
| not nearly | viel weniger | The flight wasn't nearly as bumpy as I feared. |
| twice / three times / half | doppelt, dreimal, halb | Our new flat is twice as big as the old one. |
Ab dreimal kannst du auch three times bigger than / three times more expensive than sagen — das ist sehr häufig. Für zweimal nimm aber twice as … as (twice bigger klingt für die meisten Muttersprachler falsch).
The bus ticket costs half as much as the train ticket.
The new bridge is three times as wide as the old one.
4.The same as; as me oder as I am?
Um zu sagen, dass zwei Dinge identisch sind, benutzt du the same (+ Nomen) as — nicht like.
Your phone is the same as mine.
Dein Handy ist das gleiche wie meins.
Hoa was born in the same year as me.
Nach dem zweiten as ist es wie nach than: Nimm me, him, her (beim Sprechen) oder Subjekt + Hilfsverb (I am, she does).
He isn't as patient as me. = He isn't as patient as I am.
Er ist nicht so geduldig wie ich.
Today I'm not as busy as I was yesterday.
(nicht: as I'm yesterday)
