No / none / any, nothing / nobody
中級形と使い方
There's no milk, none of them, any colour you like, nobody came — ゼロと「どれでもいい」
1.No、none と not any
no は「not a」「not any」、つまり「1つも（少しも）〜ない」という意味です。名詞のすぐ前に置き（単数、複数、不可算のどれでも）、動詞は肯定のままです。none は後ろに名詞が来ないときに使います：単独で、または none of + the/my/these… / it / them の形で使います。

no + 名詞とnot … any + 名詞は同じ意味です：There's no sugar = There isn't any sugar。話し言葉では not … any のほうがよく使われ、no はより強く、きっぱりと聞こえます。none of + 複数名詞の後ろの動詞は、複数でも単数でもかまいません：None of my friends smoke / smokes（話し言葉では複数のほうが自然で、単数はより改まった感じです）。
よくある間違いは「There is not bread」です。覚えておきましょう：not は動詞といっしょに（isn't, don't, didn't）、no は名詞といっしょに使います：There's no bread / There isn't any bread。また、no は決して of の前には来ません — of の前には none が必要です。
2.Nothing、nobody、nowhere
no- + -thing / -body / -one / -where で、それ自体が否定の意味をもつ語ができます。主語にも目的語にも、一言の答えにもなります。no one はふつう2語で書きます（イギリス英語では no-one とも書きます）。

I said nothing. = I didn't say anything.
私は何も言いませんでした。（2つの文は同じ意味）
We had nowhere to stay that night.
その夜は泊まるところがどこにもありませんでした。
Nobody in my class has done their homework.
クラスの誰も宿題をやっていません。（動詞は単数の has、でも代名詞は their）
1つの文に必要な否定語は1つだけです：no- の語 + 肯定の動詞（I saw nobody）か、not + any-（I didn't see anybody）のどちらかです。主語には no- の語を使います：Nobody came —「Anybody didn't come」や「Not anybody came」とは言いません。
日本語の「何も知らない」は「何も」と「〜ない」をセットで使うので、両方を否定語にして「I don't know nothing」と言ってしまいがちです。標準的な英語では否定語は1つだけです：I don't know anything か I know nothing。（歌やとてもくだけた会話で「I don't know nothing」を聞くこともありますが、標準的な英語ではありません。）
3.Any =「どれでもかまわない」
肯定文では、any / anything / anybody / anywhere は「どれ／何／誰／どこでもかまわない」という意味です。この意味の any はよく単数名詞といっしょに使い（any bus, any colour）、can / could、you like、I don't mind といっしょによく使われます。
Take any seat you like.
好きな席にどこでも座ってください。
This is really easy. Anybody can do it.

I'm so hungry I could eat anything.

no-（ゼロ）と any-（どれでもかまわない）を比べてみましょう：

疑問文と否定文の any（Is there any milk? I don't have any）は、レッスン「Some と any」で説明しています。ここでは2つ目の意味に注目しましょう：肯定文の any =「どれでもかまわない」。
4.よくある間違い
I didn't see nobody.I didn't see anybody. / I saw nobody.
否定語は1つだけ使います。
There is not bread left.There is no bread left. / There isn't any bread left.
not は動詞と、no は名詞といっしょに使います。

of の前には no ではなく none を使います。

none は名詞の前に置けません。

no の後ろには名詞が必要です。単独なら none を使います。

否定の意味の主語には nobody を使います。
