「see / hear」人 + 動詞 / -ing
中級“See / hear someone do / doing”
|---|---|---|
| see / hear + O + V | 動作を初めから終わりまで全部見聞きする | I saw her park the car. |
| see / hear + O + -ing | 進行中の動作の一部を見聞きする | I saw her parking the car. |
2つ目の動詞は原形か -ing のままです:saw him leave / saw him leaving。
I saw him get off the bus and walk into the bank.
We watched the sun go down over the sea.
Did you hear the phone ring?
I heard someone singing in the shower.
When I walked in, I noticed two kids hiding behind the sofa.
I could feel my heart beating fast.
I heard the door slam.
I heard the dog barking all night.
I can smell something burning!
My mum caught me eating sweets before dinner.
I found him sleeping on the sofa.
I watched them play the whole match.
I watched them playing for a few minutes, then left.
I saw him cross the road.
I saw him crossing the road.
- see, hear, smell, feel には、よく can / could をつけます:I can hear the neighbours arguing again.
- 受動態では to が戻ってきます(ややかたい言い方):He was seen to enter the building. He was seen entering the building.
I saw that she was upset. / I heard that you got a new job.
- 人は目的格にします:heard him singing, saw them leave(he, they ではない)。
I saw him to leave the office.I saw him leave the office.
We heard her sang a beautiful song.We heard her sing a beautiful song.
I watched him crossed the road.I watched him cross the road.
I heard he singing in his room.I heard him singing in his room.
I can smell something burn.I can smell something burning.
