Lektion 23 · Etappe 2: Alltagswörter: Pronomen, Artikel, Präpositionen
Präpositionen des Ortes: in / on / at
AnfängerPrepositions of place: in / on / at
Form & Gebrauch
in the box, on the wall, at the door, next to, between, opposite — sagen, wo etwas ist
1.In, on, at — drei Grundideen
| Präposition | Idee | Beispiele |
|---|---|---|
| in | innerhalb eines begrenzten Raums: Kiste, Zimmer, Tasche, Stadt, Land | in the box, in the kitchen, in my bag, in Hanoi, in Vietnam |
| on | auf einer Fläche, mit Berührung: Tisch, Wand, Boden, Seite | on the table, on the wall, on the floor, on page 12 |
| at | ein Punkt, ein Ort, an dem man steht, sich trifft oder etwas tut | at the door, at the bus stop, at the traffic lights, at the counter |

Wort für Wort aus dem Deutschen übersetzt, landest du oft bei der falschen Präposition: Ein Vogel ist „am Himmel“, aber in the sky; ein Fahrgast sitzt „im Bus“, aber on the bus; ein Bild hängt „an der Wand“, aber on the wall. Ganze Wendungen lernen ist schneller und sicherer.
2.Häufige Wendungen
| in | on | at |
|---|---|---|
| in the sky, in the sea | on the left, on the right | at home, at work, at school |
| in a photo, in the mirror | on the ground floor, on the third floor | at the top / at the bottom of the page |
| in bed, in hospital (BrE) / in the hospital (AmE) | on the bus, on the train, on a plane | at the end of the road |

Write your name at the top of the form.
Schreib deinen Namen oben auf das Formular.
Zu Hause sein heißt at home — ohne the und nicht in home. Nach Hause gehen heißt go home; siehe die Lektion „Präpositionen der Richtung: to / at / in / into“.
Bei jemandem zu Hause: at Lan's (house), at my grandma's.

Ich bin auf der Bank. Ich rufe dich zurück.
