비교급 + much / a bit / far
중급Comparative + much / a bit / far
형태와 쓰임
much better, a bit cheaper, far more expensive — 차이가 얼마나 큰지
1.형태
훨씬 더나 조금 더라고 말하려면, 정도를 나타내는 말을 비교급(-er 또는 more …) 바로 앞에 놓습니다.
| 차이 | 앞에 오는 말 | 예 |
|---|---|---|
| 큼 | much / a lot / far | much colder, a lot cheaper, far more expensive |
| 작음 | a bit / a little / slightly | a bit taller, a little faster, slightly more expensive |

very는 비교급 앞에 쓰지 않습니다. much better, a lot better, far better라고 하세요 — very better는 틀립니다.
2.언제 쓰나요
1. 큰 차이: much, a lot, far — much는 어떤 문체에서도 쓸 수 있고, a lot은 편한 말투로 대화에서 아주 많이 쓰며, far는 더 강한 표현입니다. 아주 편한 말투(특히 미국)에서는 way도 씁니다: way better.

2. 작은 차이: a bit, a little, slightly — a bit이 가장 편한 말투이고, slightly는 중립적이라 글에도 어울립니다.
My sister is a bit taller than me.
언니는 저보다 키가 조금 더 커요.

The second test was even harder than the first.
두 번째 시험은 첫 번째보다 훨씬 더 어려웠어요.
4. 명사와 함께: much more / many more / a few more — much more + 셀 수 없는 명사, many more + 복수 명사; a lot more는 둘 다에 쓸 수 있습니다. 적은 양이라면: a bit more + 셀 수 없는 명사, a few more + 복수 명사.

|---|---|---|
