much better, a lot better या far better कहें — very better नहीं।

1. बड़ा अंतर: much, a lot, far — much हर शैली में चलता है; a lot अनौपचारिक है और बोलचाल में बहुत आम; far ज़्यादा ज़ोरदार है।

  • Hanoi is much colder than Ho Chi Minh City in January.

  • Living in the city is far more expensive than living in my village.

2. छोटा अंतर: a bit, a little, slightly — a bit सबसे अनौपचारिक है; slightly तटस्थ लगता है और लिखने में भी ठीक है।

  • My sister is a bit taller than me.

  • Private lessons are slightly more expensive than group classes.

  • Yesterday was hot, but today is even hotter.

  • The second test was even harder than the first.

4. संज्ञाओं के साथ: much more / many more / a few more — much more + न गिनने योग्य संज्ञा, many more + बहुवचन संज्ञा; a lot more दोनों के साथ चलता है। थोड़ी मात्रा के लिए: a bit more + न गिनने योग्य संज्ञा, a few more + बहुवचन संज्ञा।

3.Very या much?

Very, much, a bit…

veryvery cold— (very colder नहीं)
much / far / a lot— (much cold नहीं)much colder, far colder, a lot colder

4.comparative

comparative को दोहराने (-er and -er, more and more + विशेषण) का मतलब है कि कुछ लगातार बदल रहा है। “the more…, the more…” ढाँचे का अपना अलग पाठ है: “the more …, the more …”

  • It's getting hotter and hotter.

  • Phones are getting more and more expensive.
