By กับ until
By vs until
by + เวลา (ไม่เกิน / ภายใน), until + เวลา (ตลอดจนถึง), by the time…
|---|---|---|---|
| by + time | ไม่เกิน (กำหนดเส้นตาย) | การกระทำที่แค่ต้องทำให้เสร็จ | Please reply by Friday. |
| until / till + time | จนถึง (ต่อเนื่องแล้วหยุด) | สภาพหรือการกระทำที่ต่อเนื่อง | I'll wait until six. |
2.By — เส้นตาย
I need the report by Friday.
Dinner will be ready by seven.

4.By the time + อนุประโยค
|---|---|---|
By the time + Past Simple, … had + V3 | By the time we got to the cinema, the film had started. |
By the time + Present Simple, … will have + V3 | By the time you get here, I'll have finished. |

บางอย่างก็เกิดไปแล้ว” ให้ใช้ by the time เสมอ
5.By กับ until เทียบกัน
You can stay until Sunday.
You have to leave by Sunday.
