Ders 28 · Aşama 3: Planlar, rica ve karşılaştırma
“going to” ile gelecek
BaşlangıçFuture with “going to”
Kalıp ve kullanım
be going to + fiil — bir plan ya da olacağı belli olan bir şey
1.Yapısı
am / is / are + going to + yalın fiil.
| Özne | Olumlu | Olumsuz | Soru |
|---|---|---|---|
| I | I'm going to stay | I'm not going to stay | Am I going to stay? |
| he / she / it | she's going to stay | she isn't going to stay | Is she going to stay? |
| we / you / they | they're going to stay | they aren't going to stay | Are they going to stay? |
Soru kelimeli sorular: What are you going to cook? Who is going to drive? Kısa cevaplar: Yes, I am. / No, she isn't. I'm going to go… tekrar gibi duyulsa da tamamen doğrudur.
İki sık yapılan dalgınlık: be'yi unutmak (I going to…) ve to'yu unutmak ya da ondan sonraki fiili değiştirmek (going to moving). Hızlı konuşmada going to çoğu zaman gonna gibi duyulur — gonna'yı sadece samimi mesajlarda yaz.
2.Ne zaman kullanılır
1. Niyetler — konuşmadan önce karar verdiğin şeyler
I'm going to learn to swim this summer.
Bu yaz yüzmeyi öğreneceğim.
Why are you buying paint? — I'm going to paint my bedroom.
Neden boya alıyorsun? — Yatak odamı boyayacağım.
We're not going to buy a car this year. It's too expensive.
Bu yıl araba almayacağız. Çok pahalı.
2. Şu anda gördüklerine dayanan tahminler
Look at the sky over the river. It's going to rain.
Nehrin üstündeki gökyüzüne bak. Yağmur yağacak.
Careful! You're going to spill your coffee.
Dikkat! Kahveni dökeceksin.
It's 8:55 and class starts at nine. We're going to be late.
Saat 8.55 ve ders dokuzda başlıyor. Geç kalacağız.
3. Geçmişteki niyetler: was / were going to — genellikle sonunda olmayan bir şey (“Was going to” dersine bak)
I was going to call you last night, but my phone died.
Dün akşam seni arayacaktım ama telefonumun şarjı bitti.
3.Going to mu, will mi?
İkisi de gelecekten bahseder. Fark, ne zaman karar verdiğin ve tahminini neye dayandırdığın.
| be going to | will | |
|---|---|---|
| Karar | konuşmadan önce verilmiş | konuşurken verilen |
| Örnek | I'm going to buy a new phone. I've saved enough. | Oh, this one's on sale! I'll take it. |
| Tahmin | şu anda gördüğün bir şeye dayanır | senin fikrin ya da hissin (I think, probably…) |
| Örnek | Look at that queue! We're going to wait for ages. | I think the new café will do well. |
Aynı durumu karşılaştır:
We're out of milk. — I know. I'm going to get some after work.
Sütümüz bitti. — Biliyorum. İşten sonra alacağım. (önceden karar verilmiş)
We're out of milk. — Oh, are we? I'll get some.
Sütümüz bitti. — Öyle mi? Ben alırım. (o anda karar verilmiş)
Belirli bir işaret olmayan genel bir tahminde ikisi çoğu zaman birbirinin yerine kullanılabilir: I think it'll be hot tomorrow = I think it's going to be hot tomorrow. Saati belli olan kişisel bir plan için de Present Continuous çok doğal duyulur: I'm meeting Lan at six (“Gelecek planları için present continuous” dersine bak).
Birçok öğrenci gelecekle ilgili her şey için will kullanır. Konuşmadan önce kendine sor: Buna zaten karar vermiş miydim? Evet → going to. Şimdi karar veriyorum → will.
4.Sık yapılan hatalar
I going to call you tomorrow.I'm going to call you tomorrow.
be eksik.
They are going to moving to Da Lat.They are going to move to Da Lat.
going to'dan sonra yalın hal gelir.
