1
Dive Deep.
Khám phá sâu hơn.
2
Leaders operate at all levels, stay connected to the details, audit frequently, and are skeptical when metrics and anecdotes differ.
3
No task is beneath them.
4
You could argue that there is a bit of tension between the strategic part of Think Big
5
and the detail orientation of Dive Deep.
6
And oftentimes people will say, well, which do you want?
7
You know, do you want the strategic part or do you want the detailed part?
Bạn muốn nghe phần tổng quan về chiến lược hay là phần chi tiết cụ thể?
8
And the answer, of course, is yes.
9
We want both.
10
Amazon is unique from other companies in that we expect our people to not only be strategic,
11
but to be willing to roll up their sleeves and be great at getting into the details.
12
There are so many people who can fill up loads of whiteboards around office rooms with great ideas
13
but who don't know how to get the details of those ideas right
14
and the reality is
15
that the details of any idea are what matters most
16
that's what people actually see what customers actually see it's part of by the way why the narrative format
17
that we write papers and communicate in in the working backwards documents are
18
so useful because it's you know whereas in a powerpoint you can speak at a super high level
19
and you don't have to get into the details, it is hard to fake the details in a narrative.
20
And getting the details right really matters.
21
Every product, every business that I have ever been a part of
22
or seen in Amazon have been made or broken by how great we were at getting the details right for customers.
23
Good leaders find mechanisms to inspect and audit the details and to understand anecdotes.
24
And the right teams understand that the leaders who are looking at what they're doing
25
and working with them on the details are doing
26
so to help them be right a lot and achieve great results for customers.
27
And then the other piece is that with anecdotes, there are oftentimes, especially at our size, where you have these big metrics.
28
I'll take an example.
29
If you ever look at operational performance metrics, things like performance against service level agreements or error rates or latency,
30
they're measured across really large numbers.
31
And they can look perfectly reasonable.
32
And then when you actually get into the details of it, you find, well, you hear this anecdote that this customer was unhappy about something.
33
Or you have a friend who told you that this didn't work out for them.
34
Or you get an email from a customer who says, why is this the case?
35
And when you actually follow those anecdotes, you find that there actually is a problem
36
that may not be showing up in the broader metric because we cover so many people, they don't register in the metric.
37
But at our scale, even a 1 % impact or a half a percent impact is millions of people.
38
So follow the anecdotes, inspect the details, because it's where you often find the real issues that can impact customers.

Phát âm cần chú ý

Người nói dùng 7 dạng rút gọn, ví dụ don't, they're, didn't.

  • Âm “sh” và “zh”: tension /ˈtɛnʃən/, operational /ˌɑ.pəˈɹeɪ.ʃə.nəl/, orientation /ˌɔː.ɹi.ənˈteɪ.ʃən/
  • Từ dài — đặt trọng âm cho đúng: mechanism /ˈmɛk.ə.nɪ.zəm/, operational /ˌɑ.pəˈɹeɪ.ʃə.nəl/, communicate /kəˈmjuːnɪkeɪt/, orientation /ˌɔː.ɹi.ənˈteɪ.ʃən/

Những âm người Việt thường gặp khó:

  • Cụm phụ âm cuối — đọc đủ từng âm, đừng nuốt âm cuối: inspect /ɪnˈspɛkt/, connect /kəˈnɛkt/, oftentimes /ˈɔf.ənˌtaɪmz/, whiteboard /ˈwaɪtbɔɹd/
  • Âm /æ/ — mở miệng rộng hơn âm “e”: narrative /ˈnæɹ.ə.tɪv/, format /ˈfɔːɹ.mæt/, whereas /(h)wɛɹˈæz/, unhappy /ʌnˈhæpi/, backward /ˈbækwɚd/
  • Phụ âm cuối — bật rõ âm cuối của từ: metric /ˈmɛt.ɹɪk/, strategic /stɹəˈti.dʒɪk/, narrative /ˈnæɹ.ə.tɪv/, audit /ˈɔːdɪt/, inspect /ɪnˈspɛkt/

Cách luyện với video này
