禮貌的願望 “would like”
初級“Would like” for polite wishes
would like / 'd like + to 動詞 — 禮貌地說出想要的
1.形式
would like(縮寫為 'd like)意思是 “want”,但比 want 更禮貌。所有主語都用 would:I'd like、she'd like、they'd like。
|---|---|
| would like + noun | I'd like a glass of water, please. |
| would like + to-verb | I'd like to change my seat. |
| would like + person + to-verb | I'd like you to meet my sister. |
I wouldn't like to live in a big city. |
Would you like some tea? · What would you like to do? |
一個小小的 'd 就能改變意思:I like coffee = 我喜歡咖啡(平時的愛好);I'd like a coffee = 請給我一杯咖啡(現在要)。
I'd like the chicken curry, please.
Hi, I'd like to return these shoes. They're too small.
One day I'd like to have my own café.
Where would you like to live when you retire?
Would you like…?
Would you like some more rice?
Would you like to join us for dinner on Friday?
4. 希望別人做某事:would like + 人 + to + 動詞
My mum would like you to call her when you land.
I'd like you to check this email before I send it.
換成 I'd like…,馬上就禮貌了。
3.Would like 還是 like?
| like | would like | |
|---|---|---|
| 後面接 | -ing 或 to + 動詞 | to + 動詞(不接 -ing) |
I like swimming. | I'd like to swim now. |
Do you like tea? — Yes, I do. | Would you like some tea? — Yes, please. |
Would love / would prefer / would hate 後面也接 to + 動詞:
I'd love to come — thanks for asking!
I'd prefer to stay in tonight. I'm exhausted.
I'd hate to miss your wedding.
4.回答 Would you like…?
No, thank you. / No, thanks, I'm fine.
I'd love to. / That would be great.
I'd love to, but I can't. I'm busy that day.
I would like eat something sweet.I would like to eat something sweet.
I'd like going to the cinema tonight.I'd like to go to the cinema tonight.
would like 後面不接 -ing。
She would likes to learn the piano. She would like to learn the piano.
I'd like that you call me back.I'd like you to call me back.
would like + 人 + to + 動詞。
Excuse me, I like to order the chicken.Excuse me, I'd like to order the chicken.
Would you like a coffee? — Yes, I would like.Yes, please.
- I'd like to book a table for two, please.
- I would like to buy two tickets for the seven o'clock show.
- Hi, I'd like to make a complaint about my room.
- We would like to thank everyone for coming tonight.
