צורה ושימוש

went, saw, took… — פעולה שהסתיימה בעבר, עם פועל יוצא דופן

1.מהם פעלים יוצאי דופן (Irregular Verbs)

רבים מהפעלים הנפוצים ביותר באנגלית לא מקבלים -ed. יש להם צורת עבר משלהם, שנקראת לעיתים קרובות V2 (העמודה השנייה בטבלת פעלים יוצאי דופן): go → went, see → saw, buy → bought. צורת ה-V2 זהה לכל גוף.

משתמשים בהם בדיוק כמו בפעלים רגילים: לתיאור פעולה שהסתיימה בזמן מסוים בעבר (ראו את השיעור “עבר פשוט: -ed, did / didn't”).

Affirmative	I went home early.
Negative	I didn't go home early.
Question	Did you go home early? · Where did you go?
Short answer	Yes, I did. / No, I didn't.

הנקודה החשובה: צורת ה-V2 (went, saw, bought) משמשת רק במשפטים חיוביים. ברגע שמופיע did / didn't, הפועל חוזר לצורת הבסיס: I didn't go, Did you see…? — לא “didn't went” או “did you saw”.

2.פעלים יוצאי דופן נפוצים

קל יותר לזכור אותם בקבוצות שמשתנות באותה הצורה.

תנועת האמצע משתנה ל-o	break → broke, choose → chose, speak → spoke, steal → stole, wake → woke, drive → drove, ride → rode, write → wrote, get → got, forget → forgot
סיומת -ew	know → knew, grow → grew, throw → threw, blow → blew, fly → flew, draw → drew
משתנה ל-oo	take → took, shake → shook, stand → stood, understand → understood
ללא שינוי	cut → cut, put → put, let → let, hit → hit, cost → cost, shut → shut
שונים לגמרי — פשוט לזכור בעל פה	go → went, be → was / were, do → did, have → had, make → made, see → saw, say → said, hear → heard, find → found, tell → told, run → ran, fall → fell, win → won

לא כדאי לנסות ללמוד רשימה של 200 פעלים בבת אחת. כ-50 הפעלים שמופיעים כאן מכסים את רוב מה שאומרים ביום-יום. כל ערב, נסו לספר את סיפור היום שלכם ב-5–6 משפטי עבר: I got up at six, I had noodles, I took the bus…

3.V2 או V3? וזוגות שקל להתבלבל ביניהם

בעבר פשוט משתמשים רק בעמודה האמצעית (V2): I saw her yesterday (לא: I seen her), We went home (לא: We gone home). עמודת ה-V3 באה אחרי have / has / had ובסביל — ראו את השיעור “הווה מושלם”.

I bought some mangoes at the market and brought them to the party.
קניתי מנגו בשוק והבאתי אותם למסיבה.
We won the game — we beat the best team in the league.
ניצחנו במשחק — ניצחנו את הקבוצה הכי טובה בליגה.
I felt dizzy and nearly fell over.
הרגשתי סחרחורת וכמעט נפלתי.
I read that book last summer.
קראתי את הספר הזה בקיץ שעבר.

4.שאלות ושלילה

בדיוק כמו כל פועל אחר בעבר פשוט: did / didn't + base form. הצורה הבלתי רגילה נעלמת ברגע שמופיע did.

I didn't sleep well last night.
לא ישנתי טוב הלילה.
Did you take your medicine?
לקחת את התרופה שלך?
What did she say?
מה היא אמרה?
How did you find out?
איך גילית את זה?

יוצא דופן: כאשר who / what הם הנושא (העושה של הפעולה), לא משתמשים ב-did והפועל מופיע בצורת V2: Who told you? What happened? — ראו את השיעור “שאלות נושא ואובייקט”.

5.טעויות נפוצות

go הוא פועל יוצא דופן: went.
~~She didn't took the bus.~~
She didn't take the bus.
צורת הבסיס אחרי didn't.

צורת הבסיס אחרי did.
~~I seen him yesterday.~~
I saw him yesterday.
seen היא V3; בעבר פשוט משתמשים ב-V2: saw.
~~We have gone to Hue last month.~~
We went to Hue last month.
last month → עבר פשוט.
~~He teached me to swim.~~
He taught me to swim.
teach הופך ל-taught.
