1.รูปแบบประโยค
คำคุณศัพท์หลายคำมีบุพบทประจำตัวเมื่อมีอะไรตามหลัง: คำคุณศัพท์ + บุพบท + คำนาม / คำสรรพนาม / -ing ส่วนใหญ่เดาบุพบทไม่ได้ จึงต้องจำทั้งก้อน: จำ afraid of ไม่ใช่แค่ afraid

อย่าแปลบุพบทตรงตัวจากภาษาไทย — ภาษาอังกฤษมักต่างออกไป: “แต่งงานกับ” → married to (ไม่ใช่ with), “เก่ง” → good at, “คล้ายกับ” → similar to, “กลัว” → afraid of ให้จำคำคุณศัพท์แต่ละคำพร้อมบุพบทของมันเป็นหน่วยเดียว
