good at, interested in, afraid of, worried about — sabit bir edatla kullanılan sıfatlar
1.Kalıp
Birçok sıfat, ardından bir şey geldiğinde sabit bir edat alır: sıfat + edat + isim / zamir / -ing. Edatı genellikle tahmin edemezsin, bu yüzden bütün kalıbı öğren: sadece afraid değil, afraid of öğren.

Edattan sonra fiil her zaman -ing halinde olur: interested in learning, good at drawing, tired of waiting (in learn / at draw değil). “Edat + -ing” dersine bak.

4.İngiliz / Amerikan ve gayriresmî farklar
- different from her yerde doğrudur; İngilizler different to, Amerikalılar da sık sık different than der.
- Birine angry with standart İngiliz kullanımıdır; birine angry at Amerikan İngilizcesinde çok yaygındır.
- surprised / shocked / amazed at ve by ikisi de doğrudur.
- bored with standart biçimdir; bored of gündelik konuşmada çok yaygındır.
- married to, be / get ile kullanılır: She got married to a man from Hue. Ama marry fiili edat almaz: She married him.
Edatı Türkçeden çevirme — İngilizcede çoğu zaman farklıdır: “biriyle evli” → married to (with değil), “bir şeyde iyi” → good at (in değil), “-den korkmak” → afraid of (from değil), similar to. Her sıfatı edatıyla birlikte tek bir parça olarak öğren.
