27
Yes, about as far as you can get.

Yeah?

Because you've never been able to get it over here in Britain.

59
But is it that the company don't think your style will appeal over here?

No, it's purely the fact they don't operate over here.
61
But the company's just been sold, and the new company does operate over here.
62
So maybe they will release the record.

- 過去完成時的使用:“I had just come back from America” 體現了“過去的過去”,講述在訪談前已經完成的動作。
- “be only too delighted to do”:表示“非常樂意做某事”,比簡單的“very happy”更生動。比如可以說“I'm only too delighted to help you”。
- “approach”的動詞用法:“We were actually approached at a local concert” 意思是“被主動聯絡”,在描述被他人注意或邀請時很實用。
- 語速較快時,“hadn't any idea”可能會被簡化成“hadn't any idea”,要注意區分否定形式的發音。
|---|---|
| 現在完成進行時 have/has been + -ing — 以前開始、現在仍在繼續的動作 | you've been making · has been trying |
| 條件句 if + 從句,will/would + 動詞 — 條件及其結果 | if the records were successful then I'd tell · if the records were successful, then I'd tell |
| 現在完成時 have/has + 過去分詞 — 過去發生但與現在仍有關聯的事 | you've just come · have been · you've never been |
| 被動語態 be + 過去分詞 — 強調發生了什麼,而不是誰做的 | being surrounded · were actually approached · be discovered |
