Shall we…? Why don't we…? How about -ing? —
|---|---|---|
| Let's … | मूल रूप | Let's eat out tonight. |
| Let's not … | मूल रूप | Let's not tell Mum yet. |
| Shall we …? | मूल रूप | Shall we sit by the window? |
| Why don't we / you …? | मूल रूप | Why don't we ask Lan? |
| Why not …? | मूल रूप (कर्ता के बिना) | Why not try the other shop? |
| How about / What about …? | -ing रूप या संज्ञा | How about going to Da Lat? · What about Saturday? |
| We could … | मूल रूप | We could take the train. |
How about / What about के अंत में preposition about है, इसलिए उनके बाद क्रिया -ing रूप में आती है: How about going…? (How about go…?
Let's…, Shall we…?, Why don't we…?, How about…?
It's so hot. Let's go for a swim.
Shall we take a break? I'm exhausted.
Why don't we cook at home tonight?
Why don't you…?, Why not…?, You could…
You look tired. Why don't you lie down for a bit?
If the shirt is too big, why not change it?
You could ask your teacher for help.
What / Where / When shall we…?
What shall we do this weekend?
Where shall we meet? — How about the café near the station?
4. कोई विकल्प सामने रखना — How about / What about + संज्ञा या सर्वनाम
I can't do Friday. What about Sunday?
I'd like a pizza. How about you?
Why don't you…? “Why don't you eat meat?” “Why don't you take a break?”
| Shall we …? अमेरिकी लोग ज़्यादातर Should we…? या Do you want to…?
| Why don't we / you …?
| How about / What about …?
| We could … / Maybe we could …
Let's go, shall we?
(Let's के बाद question tag shall we होता है)
Maybe we could leave a bit earlier to avoid the traffic.
|---|---|
Good idea! · Sounds great. · Sure, why not? · Yes, let's. |
I'd rather not. · I'm not sure about that. · Maybe another time. · Sorry, I can't today. |
How about … instead? · Why don't we … instead? |
Shall we get a taxi? — Yes, let's. It's getting late.
Let's watch a horror film. — Hmm, I'd rather not. How about a comedy instead?
(Maybe another time — I'm busy tonight.)
Minh suggested going to the night market.
I suggest we leave before the rain starts.
The doctor suggested that I drink more water.
(suggested me to drink नहीं)
