2
Listen and look.
3
There is one example.
4
A teacher, Mr Hall, is talking to the children about some postcards.
5
Which postcard did each person send?
6
Look, children.
7
These are some of the postcards I got this summer.
8
Come and see.
9
Wow, Mr Hall.
10
You got lots.
11
Yes.
12
My family all went to different places.
13
This one's from my sister.
14
She went to stay in a forest on her holiday.
15
Can you see the bear on the picture?
16
Oh, yes.
17
Can you see the letter E?
18
Now you listen and write a letter in each box.
19
This one's good.
20
It's from my son.
21
He went to stay in a beautiful village high up in the hills in the north of the country.
22
They went on lots of walks there.
23
It looks nice, doesn't it?
24
Yes.
25
I'd like to go there one day.
26
Who is this postcard from?
27
Oh, Emma, my cousin, sent me that one.
28
She went camping by a famous waterfall.
29
She loves holidays in the countryside, but she doesn't enjoy being on the beach.
30
She says it's boring.
31
Oh.
32
My wife sent me this one.
33
She had to go away for work for three days.
34
She was in a town that was near a lake.
35
She had a great time.
36
She worked in the day and went sailing each evening.
37
We'll go there together next year.
38
It looks good there, Mr Hall.
39
What about this one?
40
That one is from my mother.
41
She often goes away on holiday.
42
Last year she went to London to see all the museums there.
43
But this year she flew to another country far, far away.
44
She bought this card of a plane.
45
You can see it flying around the world.
46
That's a funny one.
47
And here's the last one.
48
My uncle sent it to me in August.
49
He went to a big city to go shopping there.
50
That's a strange kind of holiday.
51
Perhaps, but he likes doing that.
52
OK, now we can all talk about our holidays.
53
Great.
