1
We've been talking about an app you find useful.
2
Now I'd like to discuss some more general questions.
3
How has technology changed the way young people communicate?
4
Hmm, I'd say it's changed almost everything, really.
5
Teenagers today mostly message each other instead of calling.
6
Ha, my little sister hasn't made a phone call in months!
7
Do you think that's a positive change?
8
Well... it depends on how you look at it.
9
On the one hand, staying in touch is easier than ever.
10
On the other hand, some find face-to-face conversation stressful.
11
Really? Why do you think that is?
12
I suppose they're used to having time to plan a reply.
13
Some people say teenagers spend too much time online.
14
Would you agree with that?
15
Partly, yes. Endless scrolling isn't good for anyone.
16
Apps are designed to keep us hooked, which really annoys me!
17
But a lot of young people use the internet to learn, too.
18
I taught myself to code from free videos online!
19
Should schools limit the use of phones in class?
20
Yes, I think they should, at least during lessons.
21
Students can't concentrate if their phone keeps buzzing.
22
But couldn't phones be useful learning tools?
23
Hmm, that's a fair point...
24
Maybe teachers could allow them for specific tasks only.
25
How will technology affect young people in the future?
26
Honestly, I worry that AI might replace some entry-level jobs.
27
But it'll also create jobs we can't even imagine yet.
28
Thank you. That's the end of the speaking test.
29
Oh, great! Thank you very much.
