Feels a little weird to say that.

I actually had a little episode I wanted to share with you today.

It reminded me of something important, and so I thought maybe it could be a reminder for you as well.
5
So the other day, Pudding got quite upset over something.
6
I tried to stay calm, and I did prevent myself from getting angrier, you know, kind of attacking her for her tantrum.
7
But because it lasted so long and I couldn't really help her through it,
8
I started getting frustrated with myself and upset and doubting everything I knew.
9
I had these beliefs about parenting and kind of the things that I value.
10

and I catch kind of the leaves blowing in the wind on the trees.
23
And all of a sudden, I feel space in my mind.
24
What was filled with emotion and tears and craziness just kind of, it was like the wind outside kind of blew them away.

26
and have a conversation with Pudding about what had happened and kind of clear our understanding.

31
and I remembered what had happened to me a few days earlier
32

that it's okay which we tend to do I think we try to talk our kids through it
34
and when they're emotional they're not in the capacity to listen
35
so instead of trying to talk her through it
36
and be like it's okay just said come with me
37
and we went over to the window we looked outside I was like oh look outside do you see
38
that lady standing and waiting for the bus what shirt is she wearing

47

so wrapped up in what's in front of us and we forget to look out.

And to get a bigger picture, I think it's very easy for us to get lost and stuck in the now,
55
in the present, in the problem, in our feelings.
